N.P. Ogarev Mordovia State University

University Building
I am Saket Kumar, a student of the second year at N.P. Ogarev Mordovia State University, Mordovia, Russia. I came to this university through this consultancy in 2017 from Bihar, India. My NEET score was 350 and I have attempted NEET twice but without any luck each time.

The University was founded in the year 1931 and is one of the oldest universities here in Russia. It is a very reputed University and has approximately 600 Indian students. The medium of study here is English, so there is no need to worry about studying in Russian. Although there is no language barrier in our University, the Russian language is taught here and it is not difficult to learn. It is mandatory to learn the Russian language for about 1 year. Professors are fluent in English and are very helpful. MBBS is called MD here. The duration of MD (General Medicine) is about 5 years and 8 months. Mordovia University is approved by the Medical Council of India (MCI).

University also offers very good hostels for Indian students. Our hostel also offers Indian Canteen so you don’t have to worry about Indian food. And there are plenty of Indians restaurants also nearby the university campus.
Generally following documents are required for admission to our University:

  • Duly filled application form
  • Marksheets of 10th, 11th &12th class
  • Valid Passport
  • Birth Certificate
  • Passport size photographs
  • Application Fee

The people of Russia are too helpful and have good nature towards Indians. I have never experienced any form of racism here. Since its Russia, it is cold for about 5 months but you seldom feel it because all the buildings here are centrally heated. Plus, once you get proper winter jackets, even outside the snow is very much manageable and actually beautiful. Rest of the year is an absolute delight in Spring and Summer season.

On the Streets of Mordovia
