Asian Medical Institute - Kyrgyzstan
University Main Building |
I came to
study MBBS in Asian Medical Institute, Kyrgyzstan in 2016. After attempting
NEET for 2 consecutive years I was able to score only 329 and 288 respectively.
I was very depressed as I really wanted to become a doctor and pursue a career
in medicine. As we all typically do, I started researching about MBBS abroad. Luckily
one of my seniors from Patna was already studying here in Asian Medical
Institute. He counselled me and guided me about the quality of education here
and answered all my questions. I got a breakthrough and a second chance to
fulfil my dream. Today when I look back, I feel that I should have come here straight
after my first attempt saving that 1 year of my life plus all the money I spent
on coaching.
The MBBS
degree of Asian Medical Institute is recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) and World Health
Organization (WHO). There are approximately 2600 students studying medicine
here in Kyrgyzstan. All subjects are taught in English and the professors are
very well qualified. Most of the professors are good medical practitioners and hold
a degree from top universities of the world. The unique thing about
Kyrgyzstan is that it offers both 5-year as well as 6-year MBBS format. If
you’re worried about Indian food, don’t be! There is Indian canteen available in
every university campus or hostel here. Moreover, there are many Indian
restaurants near the college.
Kyrgyzstan is a central Asian country that was a member of USSR up until its fall in 1992. Hence, predominantly the language spoken here is Russian. It observes seasons similar to India varying only in that it snows here between December and February. But the summers are very pleasant here as the maximum temperature in summer goes only up to 25°C. Local people are very friendly and helpful towards Indians especially students. Cost of living here too is very comparable to India and is basically very inexpensive. The admissions process of Asian Medical Institute is very simple and any student who has studied Biology in 12th can get admission here. Although, now MCI has made a rule that only NEET qualified students can go abroad to study MBBS abroad.
Above is a video of Holi Celebration organized in Indian Embassy. There is a
large Indian community here and you will not feel homesick at all. I am here
to support any Indian student who comes here to study medicine. Please get in
touch with Medu Simplified and let us help you in achieving your dream of
becoming a doctor.
